Parco Giardino Sigurtà

Parco Giardino Sigurtà is contained in an oasis of sublime beauty, where nature offers its greatest fruits.

This is a setting rich in flowers which opens between the splendid hills of Valle del Mincio in Valeggio, a stone’s throw from the Peschiera del Garda (Garda Fish Pond), which was originally a villa, a work by a student of the famous Palladio which then became one of the five most extraordinary gardens in the world, thanks to the care and attention of its founder, Carlo Sigurtà.

This green paradise spans an area of 600,000 square metres, where marvellous flowers follow one after the other, articulating the passing of the seasons through the year; in particular, the five most eagerly awaited are: the Tulips, Iris, Rose, Nymphaea (waterlily) and Aster.

Visitors to Parco Giardino Sigurtà are greeted with an exultation of fragrances and colours, where they can relax on paths through age old trees, medicinal plants, soft lawns and tropical ponds, moving around by foot, bicycle or train, following the guided tour if they so choose.

Walking through the avenues of this exclusive park-garden will help visitors rediscover those elements of nature which they unfortunately miss in the frenzy of daily life. Also note that events, conventions and meetings have been organised here, attended by influential figures, including Nobel Prize winners and heads of state.

Parco Giardino Sigurtà also provides an important learning opportunity for young children, although not limited to them, as each year thematic walks are organised, with the goal of familiarising the components of nature, not just the flowers, but also the small animals that populate the park, such as squirrels and honey bees, and to inspire a spirit of respect and protection which should be shared by all.

After an outing at Parco Giardino Sigurtà, one can move to the charming shores of Lake Garda, and make the most of a relaxing stay at one of the Tonelli Hotels.
